How to find an igloo from a Minecraft seed
Where igloos generate
Igloos generate in snowy tundra, snowy taiga and a few other cold biomes. They are small and easy to miss under the snow, so exact coordinates matter more here than for taller structures.
The hidden basement
Roughly half of all igloos hide a ladder under the carpet that leads down to a secret laboratory. The lab holds a villager and a zombie villager trapped behind bars, plus a brewing stand and a chest of supplies.
Weakness potion and curing
The basement supplies a splash potion of Weakness and a golden apple. Splash the zombie villager, feed it the golden apple and wait for it to cure into a normal villager, unlocking permanently cheaper trades - one of the easiest early-game value plays.
