How to find a desert temple from a Minecraft seed

Where desert temples generate

Desert temples, also called desert pyramids, generate in desert biomes on a four-chunk grid. They are reasonably common but spread across the sand, and the orange-and-sandstone pyramid is easy to spot once you are close - the scan tells you which direction to head.

The TNT trap and how to disarm it

The central chamber hides a pressure plate wired to TNT under the floor. Step on it and the temple blows up, taking the loot with it. Dig into the side wall at floor level and break the pressure plate from underneath before you open the four chests around the central pillar.

Loot in a desert temple

The four chests hold diamonds, gold ingots, iron, bones and gunpowder, plus occasional enchanted books, saddles, horse armour and a golden apple. It is one of the best early sources of gold and diamonds if you disarm the trap.

The scan runs in your browser on the same free engine as the main SeedFinder console: no download, no login, and it reads Bedrock and Java seeds. Prefer to script it? Use the same engine over the REST API. See the API documentation.
